Startup Parameter Descriptions

This chapter describes the OpenEdge startup parameters in detail, in alphabetical order by syntax. Each section begins with a table showing the syntax of the parameter and other information about it. The Use with table column indicates the usage categories of the parameter. The usage categories are:

Client Session parameters (CS), to use when starting any client session
Client Connection parameters (CC), to use when connecting to a specific database
OpenEdge Database Server parameters (DBS), to use when starting a server or broker
DataServer parameters (DS), to use when starting non-OpenEdge DataServers
OpenEdge SQL Broker parameters (SQL) to use when connecting to a SQL server
